Dallas trip - Marianne's wedding

Last weekend we traveled to Dallas for Will's cousin Marianne's wedding. We hadn't seen some of this side of the family in quite some time, so it was great to be able to go. Marianne looked beautiful in her dress and the wedding was lovely. Nathaniel did so well the whole weekend - especially at the wedding. He made it through the ceremony and the reception until they cut the cake. And that was way past his bedtime. You can tell he's getting tired in a couple of these pictures.

They got married in a beautiful chapel over 100 years old.

I loved Marianne's dress.

I really like this one of the 3 of us.
We rarely have our family together in 1 shot!

Kristy and Laney with Nathaniel and I. We were so excited to get to see them 2 weekends this month!

One of the exciting parts of the weekend was staying with our great friends Kelli and Joe Dan. They are terrific hosts and we had such a wonderful time. I got some great shots of Kelli and Nathaniel Sunday morning.

I love the smiles on both their faces.

 This one is terrific.

 Nathaniel had lots of fun.

Look at the huge smile on Nathaniel's face while he spends time with Joe Dan. Joe Dan had to sneak some quality time in while Kelli was still asleep. As you can tell, Nathaniel had a blast and was loved on the entire weekend.

Saturday for lunch Kelli and Joe Dan took us to Blue Mesa. It was fantastic. Kelli and Joe Dan have terrific taste in food.

Kelli is also a wonderful chef. This is homemade ice cream she started on Saturday and we ate Sunday before we left. The caramel sauce was also made from scratch and SOO good.

Friday night we all went out for sushi at Sake Toro. Oh my, it was delicious. For all of our sushi friends I have included this website so that you can check out the menu if you get a chance. If you're ever in the DFW area I highly suggest you try it.

One other funny sidenote from the trip - Will kept saying how great the traffic was in Dallas compared to Houston. He was very pleased at how easy it was for us to get around. Also, Nathaniel did much better in the car this time.

Unfortunately the wedding was the same weekend that our friend Brad graduated from UT with his doctorate in Civil Engineering. We are so proud of him. We're very disappointed we missed the graduation. Here is a picture of Brad with his family. And yes, the other big news is that Brad and Rheagan also celebrated the birth of their second child, Liesl, the same week Brad graduated! We can't wait to meet Liesl. Their son Isaac is adorable as well.

 Congrats Brad!
