Rodeo Time

Yep, it's that time of year, the Houston Rodeo and Livestock Show. We took Nathaniel to see the animals and everything else that was going on. The weather was beautiful, so we had a great day. The first stop was the petting zoo - hello, baby goat!

Nathaniel was nudging one of the goats with his foot. I had to tell him not to kick the goat.

Lots of little babies huddled together - they were so soft.

The John Deere exhibit was next - but our son liked the wheels most of all.

A great day for a first carousel ride.

Once the ride was stopped, and we were getting off, Nathaniel decided that he did not want to be done - yes, he was the child screaming that didn't want to get off. We quickly looked for something else to do. Lots of fun!

Fire Truck Day at school

Last Thursday, the fire truck came to visit Nathaniel's school. Will decided to take Nathaniel to school that day, and stay to see the fire truck with him. He also helped the teachers wrangle all of the kids while they were outside with the truck. Nathaniel thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Will was glad he went. Apparently Nathaniel shrieked and screamed in joy most of the time . . .

Planting Blueberries

We decided to try planting some blueberry bushes on the side of our house. I had to take some shots of my favorite helper.

Fun with Friends

Brooklyn and Reagan came over, and the three had a great time. Brooklyn and Nathaniel are working on sharing. It is a work-in-progress. Here are some shots of all 3 playing.

 I finally got the two of them to sit in the chair together for a picture.

And of course Brooklyn pushed him right back out - as he deserved.

Anyway, we had a great time with the Beaver girls as always, and I am pleased at finally getting some Nathaniel/Brooklyn hugs documented.
