Summer Vacation

We decided to head to the mountains for our summer vacation - a welcome change from the heat we've been having. Enjoyed a great visit in Amarillo as well.

Had to enjoy a meal at Rosa's while we were there. We miss Rosa's!

Grandpa entertaining Nathaniel while we ate.

We enjoyed a fun trip to the swimming pool while we were there. Nathaniel loved the kiddie area.

 Checking out the beach ball.

This fountain was really entertaining. He had a very serious look while watching it.

 So much fun!

I took him in the big kid's area for a bit.

Time for a break and a diaper change.

 Such a ham!

In Red River, NM. Eating breakfast the first morning.

Will got some good hummingbird shots.

As Mom, Nathaniel and I hung out in the cabin, Aunt Hillary and Uncle Shelby drove by, on mopeds!

Nathaniel and Grammy in the cabin. Wearing the new hat we bought for him.

He loved all of the time Grammy spent holding him.

Dad and Grandpa went off-roading up to Greenie peak. Check out the view up there!

 Gorgeous . . . wish I was there too!

But we had lots of fun playing in the cabin.

 Cutie!

Annie was relaxing during the vacation as well.

Playing some mini-golf

Nathaniel loved his Aunt Hillary time

Breakfast at Old Tymer's before we left . . . can you see the size of the pancakes?

This is my blueberry pancake. Will and I worked on it together.

View of the ski area from our cabin

 Another view of Red River

 Taking a nap with Grandpa

 They were watching golf together

What a good vacation!!

Fourth of July

We decided to have a cook-out for the 4th, and I'm so glad that we did. The rain stopped and we had great weather. I think our yard is perfect for events like this, just hanging out under the tree with friends . . . and the giant mosquitoes had not yet made their debut, so we weren't eaten alive. Thanks again to Keith for the pictures - we were so busy with everything we didn't have a chance to get any shots.

Konrad enjoying some Grandmother time

Play time!

Will working on the food

Love this shot looking down at the patio from the party

Sonya getting Berit set up to chow down

Great shot of the Beavers

I brought Nathaniel inside to feed him some baby food and while I worked on some stuff in the kitchen Berit was sweet enough to play with him on his mat

Group Shot

The cows made an appearance

Love this shot of Brooklyn chowing down on watermelon

Nathaniel - outside before his bath. Double-fisting it.

The kids playing

Enjoying a few minutes of sitting down together

Thanks to all of our friends for coming over and celebrating America with us.
