More April Events

Happened to catch him sleeping in his swing with this sassy pose.

Around the middle of this month he was able to roll on his side -
much easier to see Octopus now!

Will used a long-exposure shot to get this at night -
it's actually dark in his room. This position is how he normally sleeps.
He's slept through the night (until 4 or 5 am) a couple of times this month.

Very exciting - he got to meet his grandpa, Pops, over the last weekend in April.
As you can see, they both look very happy to finally meet!

Cute Outfits

Wanted to dedicate a post to some of the cute outfits Nathaniel has gotten. These are not taken in one day - they're in chronological order from this month. Each day he wore one I tried to snap a picture or two. I noticed as I posted these pictures that he looks a lot different by the end of the month than he did at the beginning . . .

This outfit is from his Aunt Kelli - love the big smile

His Aunt Hillary's friend Ruthie gave him these crocodile PJs
with matching blanket.
They're so comfy-looking I almost wish I had a pair.

I thought several of these pictures I took turned out well, so be patient with me.

His Aunt Hillary and Uncle Shelby went to Vegas over spring break
and brought him this adorable t-shirt. I think he wants to go next time, Hill!

My friend Jaime got him these cute plaid shorts and top.

My mom's friend Margaret bought him this cute outfit -
some more adorable plaid shorts.

Nana brought him these cute monkey overalls when she came to visit. She brought lots of cute clothes, so there will be more of these to come later.

Thank you to everyone who has bought Nathaniel such cute outfits. I just took pictures as I could - sorry if I have missed a few outfits. He's very loved and spoiled, and I love it!

Teeth Coming!

Nathaniel has been fussier as of late and hasn't been eating as well. I decided this morning to take him in to the pediatrician, just to be on the safe side. I was wondering if he was teething - he's been drooling so much, and really chomping down on anything he can.

The pediatrician checks him over, and says he is really healthy - just a little bit of drainage in the back of the throat. Here is a brief replay of our conversation.

Me: Can he be teething?
Dr.: No, not at 3 months, impossible.
Me: He'll be 4 months at the end of this month - is there any way you can just check?
Dr.: Sure, I can look in there and see.

(At this point she sticks the depresser in this mouth, and he grins at her).

Dr.: Well, I see lots of white spots, he should be getting some teeth soon.
Me: How soon?
Dr. Within a month. You know, all kids are different. Apparently he will just have teeth very early.
Me: Thanks for looking. :) And I meant it - I'm glad she didn't mind checking for me.

I went to Babies-R-Us for teething supplies, and unfortunately for most of the teethers the baby holds on to it, but poor Nathaniel isn't big enough to hold anything in his mouth yet. So we enjoy holding him and letting him chomp on the teether. He's such a fast developer!

Oh, and forgot to mention - even though he didn't feel good he was so smiley at the Dr.'s office. He laughed and laughed at me while we waited on the Dr. He's such a happy and sweet baby.

Crawfish Boil

The annual Borck crawfish boil was this past weekend. As usual, everyone had a great time. These pictures are all ones that our friends Keith and Sonya took, and they are really terrific.

Nathaniel really loves the outdoors

Nathaniel was asleep . . .

But there was too much to see so he woke up.

Easter

Our good friends Kelli and Joe Dan came in for Easter.
Nathaniel loved his Aunt Kelli, and Uncle Joe Dan also!

Kelli bought Nathaniel this cute outfit -
it even has little pearl snaps.

Looks like a "thinker" pose.

He is doing a good job of holding his head up.

Annie thinks this is really her chair.

Good Friday

Will took the afternoon off and we hung out together.
We felt so blessed to enjoy our first Good Friday with Nathaniel.

I love this shot of the two of them.

He's really pushing up with his legs.

3 Month Pictures

He's getting so big! This month
he is enjoying sticking his fists in his mouth.

I like this picture because he looks interested in
Otis for the first time.

This was posed (don't worry, he doesn't sleep like this)
during an early morning nap.
