Art Projects

Here are a few shots of some of Nathaniel's art from school. He sang songs on the last day of school, and we got to see his artwork hanging up on the walls. We brought it home and I took some pictures of some of his favorite things from this school year.

We've done a lot of coloring at home, also. I thought this was a cool ghost. He's making a ghost sound while he holds it.

And this is a card he made for one of his neighbors - he drew the design all on his own. I guess he gets the art skills from me and the engineering skills from Will.

Happy Father's Day

We had a great Father's Day celebrating Will. We made pancakes for breakfast and had hamburgers for lunch (Will's favorite). Nathaniel wanted to dress like this for church, and wanted his Dad to dress just like him. Of course Dad said yes. This isn't the best picture, but you get an idea.

We bought Nathaniel a dino dig kit. He is very much into dinos right now. He and Will excavated all of the bones and then put them together. I thought Nathaniel looked adorable in his glasses.

Thank you Daddy for being such a great father!

The Engineer and Builder

Nathaniel is excellent at building anything. He has a mind for how to put things together. Just like his Daddy. Here are a few of his neat creations. I love his expression in this first photo. He made a crane out of some gears. He named it "Flipper Raisermouth." The Raiser-part is because it raises up and down.

He can make an amazing creation out of everyday stuff. See below.
It may prolong putting up the groceries, but still.

As you can tell, no shortage of creativity here.

Barb's Birthday and other fun

We got to celebrate our good friend Barb and her birthday the other week. Here are some pics from her party. As you can see, we ate a lot of meat! But best of all was having friends together.

And here are a few pics of the dogs. Otis was needing some attention one night, so here we are holding him.

Nathaniel gave Annie a suffed fox to sleep with one day.

The life of our dogs involves . . . lots of naps. They hold down the seat cushions.

Friends

Here are a few pictures of Nathaniel and some of his friends. First one is with Brooklyn, when they had silly sock day at school.

This is Nathaniel's friend Sarah Margaret. They have such fun together.

Here they are walking out together after Bible study.

Sarah Margaret and her parents are moving, so we will miss them so much. They are wonderful friends!

Start of Summer

And the hot weather has started . . . so we try to amuse ourselves as best we can. Sometimes boxes are the best toys.

We've had lots of friends over to play.

And we went to the Dentist last week. Nathaniel had a full cleaning for the first time. He looks like such a big boy. They took his blood pressure here. I wanted to take a picture of him in the chair while they cleaned his teeth, but I restrained myself. Didn't want to mess anything up. They said he was the best patient (and the youngest) they'd had all day.

We've had a lot of rain! See our swamp (I mean backyard).
