Dancing Time

We were goofing off one day when I was working in the kitchen and I got this funny little gem.

Random Summer Stuff

This is a hodge-podge of some pictures I've been wanting to include. First of all is a few funny face shots from my camera.

This was last weekend - working on our green chiles (we had homemade rellenos tonight)

Doing some building

Last day at gymnastics with one of his favorites (Ms. Hailey in the blue shirt) who is off to college

A few of the drawings he's done lately - the top one you can see a face and legs is Daddy

This one down below is me - first time he's drawn real "people"

And tonight we measure him and he's grown over 2 inches in about 6-7 months. I couldn't believe it. He's getting so big!

Hello Dogs

I have a few good shots of the dogs to add. Can you tell Nathaniel just loves to cuddle with Otis? Otis is very forebearing.

Hard to see here but Nathaniel made a shed for one of his trucks out of legos.

Nathaniel and Daddy had a fun trip to the lego store last week.

Annie on my pillow.

And of course some of the fort that was made the other day.

Can you see me?

The Happy Helper

This week Nathaniel went to Service Camp at his school to learn about serving others. He had a wonderful time. You can see his apron that he decorated. When I picked him up the last morning, he had his apron on and looked so cute. My attempts at pictures here are not as good, but they will do. Inside his apron are the things he needs to help others. He has some tissues, a band aid and a book he made about being a Happy Helper.

They also did some cooking at his camp. They made ice cream one day, and the last day they made rice crispy treats to share with someone who couldn't leave their house.

Tonight my helper helped me cook dinner . . . I was so proud of him.

Dinos

We went with our friend Maren to the Dinos Alive exhibit. It was neat seeing the huge models, but surprisingly Nathaniel was a little afraid, which isn't much like him.

A look of fear. I had to take a picture because it's so uncharacteristic.

He really enjoyed digging for the fossils and the dino bones.

I can't help it. The look on his face in the last picture cracks me up. No more dinos for us. :)

The Snowman Jokes

The other day Nathaniel started making up some snowman jokes. He asked me while we were eating lunch, "What do snowmen eat for a snack?" I thought about it and said that I didn't know. He then told me "hummus" and laughed.

From then on he had lots more snowman jokes. Such as "What do snowmen eat for dinner?" And "What do snowmen eat for lunch?" and each time there was something different that they ate. One time it was snowballs. Another time it was legos. Everytime he told me one he gave a big, belly laugh. It was great. I love my little comedian.

Ice Cream

Last week Will and I decided to take our sweet son for a special treat. Here we are at the frozen yogurt shop. I thought I got enough for Nathaniel and I to share (since we are both chocolate lovers) but not so much. I think he will get his own next time. He shared with Daddy too. I love the chocolate mustache Nathaniel is sporting.
