Bon Voyage

We were lucky enough to have our friends Brad and Rheagan, and their kids Isaac and Liesl, come visit us before they moved to Ireland. Hopefully the next time we see them, we'll be headed to Ireland to visit!

All 3 kids in the toy bucket. I love their different expressions.

And some bath-time fun for all 3.

Nathaniel pushing Liesl on the scooter.

Going out for dinner downtown while Barbara watched the kids!

Some fun with Otis

No idea why Nathaniel was pouting here.

He's fine now!

Reading with Will Monday morning before he left for work.
(Yes, there are a lot of these, but I love all of their expressions).
Enlarge if you want to check them out in more details.

We had such a terrific time! Thanks again for coming!

Uh-oh and Jeeps and Trucks

So last week (or two weeks?) Nathaniel started saying "uh-oh" when he drops something. He also says "hug" now.

While we waited to get his hair cut, there was a Discovery channel show on snakes. Nathaniel hissed at me! I had no idea where he learned this - until I called Will to report how smart our son was and Will told me that he taught him that snakes hiss.

Nathaniel also identifies jeeps as we are driving down the street. And trucks, and buses. He is surprisingly accurate.

His metal garbage truck (which I bought at CVS) is now his favorite toy. He likes it parked next to his tray when he eats and wants to sleep with it now. So we have to sneak in and remove it after he falls asleep. :)

Overnight Trip

Will and I went to the Woodlands for our anniversary, and our friends the Beavers were so sweet to keep Nathaniel for us. He had a great time, and Jodi was kind enough to send us pictures of him to our phones.

His shoes were off, so he found one of Reagan's and a baby's shoe.

Mmm - snow cone.

Playing with Brooklyn at the snow cone place.

Giving Pooh Bear a ride on the train.

A tea party to finish things out!

Thanks again to the Beavers - he had a wonderful time! So did we!

Random Summer Fun

Just a few silly pictures from this summer. He was marching around in a diaper and hat this day.

18 Month Pictures and Stats

These are about a month late, but still wanted to get them up here. He's big enough now that I'll probably stop taking them each month, and just do it every year/half year. Here are his stats from his 18-month appt.

Height 32.5" (52nd %)
Weight 24.4 lb (26th %)
Head 19.25" (78th %)

And some shots of my favorite little guy:

Notice I had to give him a book to get him still - but I love that he likes reading books.
