Fun at the Pool

Over Memorial Day our good friends Anna and Claire came to visit. We had a blast! We made it to the swimming pool. It was the first trip for the little boys.

Joel enjoyed a nap by the pool snuggling with Anna

Claire was a special friend to Annie. Annie doesn't like many new people but she loved Claire and would follow her if she left the room. Annie enjoyed lots of attention from Claire.

We had such a wonderful time. Thanks again for coming Anna and Claire.

Annie

We lost Annie on Monday, June 1st. She was such a sweet dog who liked to cuddle. We miss her so much. Nathaniel keeps saying that he wants to go pet her, and she isn't there. It is so strange, there are no dogs to eat the crumbs off the floor, or mess up my piles of laundry. Life certainly isn't as fun without the dogs.

Here are a few shots from her last few days.

February Fun

I am throwing a lot of pictures from my phone up here before I get too far behind. A couple of weeks ago Nathaniel got a stomach bug. I caught him asleep on the couch and Annie snuggled up with him.

My friend Mary Kay takes Nathaniel to the library every Friday. They check out books and do puzzles or whatever activity is out. He always has a great time with her.

A tank he built with tinker toys.

The paper bag monsters he made from a kit he got for his birthday.

They are both smiling at me.

Last one is Seth - fell asleep on the playmat while playing. I think that was an older shot, from January.

Dogs

I haven't posted any good pictures of the dogs in a while, so thought I would post some. We received some sad news last week. Otis was diagnosed with prostate cancer. We are thankful we have had 12 good years with him and Annie. We're trying to enjoy each day we have with the dogs.

Annie can't resist a clean load of laundry.

We've told Nathaniel Otis is sick, but that's all we've told him. I guess he's heard us talk about cancer, because Will said one night before bed Nathaniel prayed that Otis wouldn't have the "cancers."

Looking like Fall

Our trees were so pretty, I had to get a few shots this morning.
