Here we are eating some raspberries. And having a little fun. :) The one on his thumb was eaten before I could take this picture.
In this last picture, he came walking out of the bathroom like this after I told him to put on his underwear. We're all boy. He was so pleased with himself.
And I guess he's figured out that what is normally on packaging relates to what is in the bottle or container . . .he asked me one day if seals gave us dish soap. He saw the seal on the Dawn bottle and came to this assumption. I had to explain that sometimes they use dish soap to clean the seals if they are dirty.
Today we were eating yogurt for a snack and he asked if my yogurt had sticks in it. I had cinnamon apple greek yogurt, and on the package was an apple and some cinnamon sticks. Makes sense to me!

Random Summer Fun
Yesterday was Nathaniel's first day of gymnastics class all by himself . . . last year I was inside helping him. He did great and had a blast. Hard to take pictures behind the glass where I watched.
Tuckered out after a day at the beach . . .
And a few shots of a house concert that Will and I attended last week. We do still do fun things by ourselves (occasionally). :)
And some patience while waiting for ice cream at a birthday party . . .
The patience pays off . . .
We are having a great summer so far. It is flying by!

The Sunflowers
Our sunflowers are finally blooming! We planted them several months ago and Nathaniel was so excited to see them bloom. He has helped water them every few days.
My sweet boys loves to smell the flowers!

Umbrella Painting
We got to do some umbrella painting a couple of weeks ago. Of course I did not come up with this great idea on my own, but our neighbors did and they let us have an umbrella and some paint.
And here we are just doing some drawing in the house - he drew this heart all by himself!
This boy loves art projects, and so do I!

Water Fun
With the arrival of hot weather, we have been spending lots of time in the water. Here we are playing in the water with some friends:
He was trying to figure out how the sprinkler worked for a while.

Easter Pictures
I know it is really late to post these, but they were on a different camera and I just saw some of them.
I used to play with little wind-up animals just like this at my grandmother's house. We have had a lot of fun with the chick and the frog.

Dim Sum
Will's friend Ted took us to Chinatown to eat at a dim sum restaurant. Dim sum means "touch of the heart." It is basically little appetizers that you order and everyone shares. It was great. Ted told us it was still Americanized, because in China they actually have little pushcarts that they push around and you just pick one piece at a time and sip hot tea while you do business. So it's usually a 4-hour event. We heard this restuarant has a pushcart on the weeekend, but not sure if this is true. The appetizers that we ordered came 3 or 4 to a little metal bowl (as you can see below).
Nathaniel ate turnip cake, fried squid and some kind of sesame-seed bun with sweet bean paste inside. I think the tried a couple of the sweet doughy ones too. I was so proud of him for trying something new. It was still a long lunch for us, so I gave him my phone for a bit when he was really wiggly.
Oh and congrats to my husband for trying the chicken feet. They were boiled in some kind of sauce and you basically suck the skin off. I like to think that I try a lot of different foods, but I couldn't do the chicken feet. Good job Will. Oh, and he said that he wouldn't do one again. They weren't great.
