Playing Outside
We have had a very mild winter this year. It's made for lots of outside playing! Here are some shots from the backyard. I love the picture of Nathaniel by the tree - you can see how huge the tree is and how little my little boy looks!
More Birthday Celebrations
We decided to have Nathaniel's birthday part a week later. We were hoping to have calmed down a little after the holidays and have more time to enjoy it. The party was at the Little Gym, and we were lucky enough to have Will's parents and my mom in town for the party. The morning before the party, we opened presents from family at the house.
The icing gave everyone blue mouths. Will kept harassing me for a picture, so here you go.

Group Pictures
While I had plans of making the cake, I ran out of time and let Sam's do it.

Thanks to everyone for making Nathaniel's party special . . .

2 Year Well Visit
I picked Nathaniel up from school early today, and we headed to the Dr. for his 2-year visit. Our Dr. thought he was doing very well (no surprise to us)! Probably the most surprising thing to me was that based on his height now she expects him to end up at about 6 feet. They have a formula they use. Obviously it may be totally wrong, but I thought it was interesting, and I am looking forward to see how tall he will be! It made me excited about Nathaniel's future, and since he is so smart and so sweet, I am curious about what wonderful things he will accomplish as he gets older!
Here are his stats:
Height - 35 1/4 Inches (78th %)
Weight - 27 1/2 Pounds (46th %)
Head - 19 3/4 Inches (85th %)
He did get a finger prick to check for anemia, which came back normal. He was a tough boy and didn't cry! Just a few whimpers, and then we were okay. Nathaniel was happy and chatted with the Dr. and showed off his skills. :)

Random funny picture
This picture was also taken when my mom was in town. Nathaniel wouldn't really hold still for a picture in his Santa pjs (which yes, we are still wearing) or his disguise, but you get the point. He also blocked his face with a train.
Cupcake Mouth
This picture was taken a while back, at Berit's birthday party. I wanted to post it anyways, just to show how much Nathaniel enjoys a cupcake. :) Or any sweet. This morning we made chocolate chip muffins. Nathaniel is very interested in being a "helper" now.
Anyways, enjoy the cupcake picture. I'm going to try and get caught up on some other posts. We''ve been busy doing some chores and cleaning out the office and getting and organized for the New Year.
