Reading

Lately (since Christmas) the little boys have really shown an interest in reading. They can sit still long enough for me to finish a book or two. The only thing that is better than holding one child in your lap to read is holding two children!

Nathaniel reading to his class

Such a pleasant surprise this week -  I got a picture from Nathaniel's teacher. He had read a book to the class! She said the whole class enjoyed it. Will and I were so proud. We are happy he loves to read!

Reading and Riding

The week of Thanksgiving this year, Nathaniel started riding his big boy bike! No training wheels. Will had a few days off of work, the weather was nice, and that's all it took!

Around the same time, Nathaniel started reading on his own. We were pretty blown away, because we haven't really worked with him. He's writing letters at school, and he knows what letters words start with and end with, and I guess it just clicked. He's a reading machine now. I wish I could slow him down . . . he's growing up so fast. We're so proud of him.
