Midland Trip

We were able to fly to Midland and visit family last weekend.
We all had a great time.

Headed out to see Pop's horses.

Not sure whose expression is funnier here!

Nathaniel and Brad getting to check out the neighbor's hot rods.

Nathaniel made himself at home in the neighbor's garage.

Zach and Nathaniel playing some trains.

Will getting to hold his nephew baby Zach.

Tractor rides!

And although all of the grandkids weren't together, I still put together a picture of them for my mother-in-law, Becky. Here are all of the cousins
(thank you Photoshop)!

Turkey in July

We made a turkey a couple of weeks ago. It turned out great (as you can see).

Annie and me resting while the turkey cooks and Nathaniel naps.

Yumm. It was delicious.

Ice Cream Please

This is just one of the cutest pictures I've seen in a while, so had to share . . .

Happy Anniversary!

Our 11th anniversary was July 14th. Will and I had a wonderful dinner together and just enjoyed spending time together. This isn't the best picture because we used the timer on our camera, so it is what is.

Update on the Little Boy Bed

He is doing great . . . the first day or two was a little rough getting him down, but he slept fine. After that he started laying down in his bed and going right to sleep. It has been really easy. Much easier than I thought after the first day! I can't believe he is so big. Will and I are sad that we don't get to rock with him much in the chair anymore.

I have an idea . . . .

Nathaniel's latest thing is to go up to someone and say, "I have an idea!" That person will say "What?" and Nathaniel says "What?" and the loop goes on. It's really funny, because he has been sticking his index finger up in the air sometimes when he says it. Just one of those things I wanted to jot down now so I can remember when he is older. :)

Happy 4th of July

Well, we had a great 4th of July. We enjoyed spending the day with several different friends, and then we went to the watch the local fireworks from a Walgreen's parking lot. They had some cones blocking traffic so that everyone could set up their lawn chairs and watch without having to be bussed into the local school. Bonus, the fire dept. was there with their fire truck so the kids could sit in the truck and check it out.

I had Nathaniel in this very cute red and blue shirt all day. However, during dinner he stuffed too much hot dog bun in his mouth and gagged himself, necessitating an outfit change. Will had just been teasing me about the hot dog eating contest earlier in the day (which I think is gross). Then I get to witness one at my own house. Yuck. Anyways, it was easily cleanable, but I wish he'd had on his patriotic shirt.

One of the few times he was sitting - and the show hadn't started!

We didn't actually get to watch much of the show. Nathaniel felt the blocked-off parking lot was an excellent track, and he practiced his running skills during the fireworks. He really didn't care that much about them. But, Will and I did get to see a little bit, so it was nice. Maybe next year . . .
