15 Month Pictures

With Nathaniel being sick and everything else going on, I am pretty late in posting these. But they are still cute! If you want to contract these with last year's pictures, you will be amazed.

Ready for a walking sequence?

I will try and post some videos of walking soon. Although he usually doesn't perform for the camera. :)

First Major Illness

Nathaniel came down with croup last Tuesday night, and it was terrible! We were up almost all night, and the next night as well. My parents had planned to visit that week, and I took Nathaniel to the pediatrician after we picked up my parents from the airport. The Dr. immediately diagnosed him with croup, which is swelling around the vocal cords. Luckily the Dr. didn't think Nathaniel looked as bad as some of the other cases she'd seen.

It was a rough week, and we went back to the Dr. Monday afternoon (after my parents left) for a recheck. They checked his O2 stats, and luckily they were good. They gave us an inhaler to make sure his lungs stayed clear as the croup would head that direction if it wasn't expelled. Anyways, both baby and mom were very tired. Plus disappointed that we didn't get to do more with my parents here. But thankfully he is getting better, and that's all that matters. We have been blessed that he has been as healthy as he has thus far.

Reading with Daddy and Cute Pictures

Nathaniel and I read a lot during the day, and then Will reads with him sometimes at night after dinner while I clean up the kitchen. I love the way he is sweetly patting his daddy on the head.

Nathaniel has never cared much about tv, but on this particular morning he started watching "Super Readers" on PBS. It holds his attention for only a few minutes, and then it's onto something else. But, I had never seen him lay on his stomach like this before - he looked so big - so I decided to take a few shots.

Reading with daddy - different night.

Oops, he spotted me and wants a hug.

Playtime

Sorry, trying to catch up on some posts. Nathaniel loves playing and crawling in and out of his wagon. Sometimes he just sits in the wagon for a while. I got some shots a couple of weeks back.

Caught him in the act on this one, but before I could get the camera he had vanished. I knew this would happen soon. Here is documented proof.

Annie likes to sleep on the couch, and sometimes plays possum, I think.

I think she plays possum to avoid this.

Such an irresistible face!

Rodeo Time

Yep, it's that time of year, the Houston Rodeo and Livestock Show. We took Nathaniel to see the animals and everything else that was going on. The weather was beautiful, so we had a great day. The first stop was the petting zoo - hello, baby goat!

Pig!

Sheep!

Big sheep!

Nathaniel was nudging one of the goats with his foot. I had to tell him not to kick the goat.

Lots of little babies huddled together - they were so soft.

The John Deere exhibit was next - but our son liked the wheels most of all.

A great day for a first carousel ride.

Once the ride was stopped, and we were getting off, Nathaniel decided that he did not want to be done - yes, he was the child screaming that didn't want to get off. We quickly looked for something else to do. Lots of fun!
