And the hot weather has started . . . so we try to amuse ourselves as best we can. Sometimes boxes are the best toys.
We've had lots of friends over to play.
And we went to the Dentist last week. Nathaniel had a full cleaning for the first time. He looks like such a big boy. They took his blood pressure here. I wanted to take a picture of him in the chair while they cleaned his teeth, but I restrained myself. Didn't want to mess anything up. They said he was the best patient (and the youngest) they'd had all day.
We've had a lot of rain! See our swamp (I mean backyard).

President Hair
Will is the one who styles Nathaniel's hair (I comb it but have no creative ideas). After this grooming, I guess one of them decided to call this look "President Hair."
About a month ago, the 747 that carries the shuttle was being relocated during the middle of the night. Will went to watch. It was pretty neat, they even lifted up the traffic lights because it was so big.
A couple of weeks ago he was having quiet time and we found this trail of animals.
This one is from the park.

Random Pictures
Here are a few random pictures I have been needing to put up here. First one is of course, a whippet buried in laundry.
He loves to make any kind of fort . . . here is a cute one.
Bigger perspective of this fort.
The last one is from one of his friend's birthday parties. We've had a fun spring! Hard to believe summer is almost here.

Muffins with Mom
The Thursday at school before Mother's Day, we had Muffins with Mom. We got to eat muffins with our kiddos and see the Mother's Day card that they made us.
The card is sideways, but it says "I love my mom because she helps me put a band-aid on my knee and I love her taking me to school." They got to pick what to say on each of their card. It was a fun morning.
Here they are singing Happy Birthday to one of their teachers. Nathaniel threw in a little dance with his song.
My beautiful card.

Fun Visit
Aunt Hillary and Uncle Shelby came to visit us a few weekends ago. We had such a great time. Here are some shots of Aunt Hill playing with Nathaniel. They had a car show at the park while we were there playing.
Nathaniel had a great time with Rafe and Oakley too. Unfortunately I don't think they enjoyed him as much. We can't wait to see Hill and Shelby again!
And here we are making some cookies. As you will see further down, most of the flour ended up on his shirt.

Happy Mother's Day!
We had a fantastic Mother's Day. I am so happy to be a mother to this fantastic little boy. And I am grateful for my own wonderful mother and mother-in-law.

Happy Easter
Today Nathaniel and I decorated Easter eggs. We had a blast. The weather is usually so nice this time of year that we can sit out on the patio. Today was a gorgeous day.
And the other day he had an egg hunt at school. I didn't get any pictures of that, but I hid the eggs for him a day before so he could practice. I come back in and he tells me that Otis has been "Easter-egged." Hmm. Wonder who did that. Poor Otis.

And one last cute one.
And I had to look up these pictures because I had a memory today of him hunting Easter eggs in his diaper. And there were the pictures! He's such a big boy now.
