Happy Valentine's Day
This morning we had our Valentine's party at Nathaniel's school. Last night we made strawberry muffins for the party. I enjoyed getting to see his friends and his class.

Aquarium
On one of the Monday holidays we had recently, we took Nathaniel to the aquarium. We hadn't been in a while, so it was very enjoyable for everyone. He knows about most of the animals now. I took these with my new phone, and am just now working on uploading them, so bear with me.
I missed it, but Will said when they went to look at the sea lion tank, a big sea lion swam right up by the glass next to Nathaniel. It scared him a bit and he wasn't really wild on getting close to the sea lion window after that. It was a little funny, because not much scares this boy. :)

"When I grow up"
Nathaniel and I were reading a library book about jobs. We talked about the different jobs, and I asked Nathaniel what job he would like to do when he got big. He thought about it and said, "I just play with trains mom."
I smiled and told him that was a great job.

Birthday Bowling
With all of our traveling this year, we really didn't want to do a big birthday party. We just invited a few close friends to go bowling with us. We were actually supposed to go to the park, but weather that morning was bad. Probably worked out better this way - everyone had a great time!

Potty-Training
So I am way behind on writing this, but I need to document that my sweet boy is now potty-trained.
We started in late November/early December telling him that when he turned 3 he was all done with diapers and was going to wear underwear. So the day after his birthday we made the switch. The first 3 days were pretty brutal, but by day 4 he had the hang of it and we could pretty much resume our normal schedule. It was easier than I thought. Well, the first 3 days were exhausting and frustrating, but so worth it by the 4th day.
He's done really well during the night too. I couldn't ask for a better potty-training experience!
