Mr. Manners

I have to brag a little. After lots of reminding Nathaniel about "please" and "thank you" he seems to have really caught on and has been doing an excellent job with his manners. The past several days he has been asking "Please, Mommy, milk" or something similar. It is SO sweet. And even if I just help him with something simple, he has been saying "Thank you." And if he brushes by Otis he says "Excuse me, Otis."

Anyways, some of you might not be that impressed, but it is so sweet for a mommy to hear the words after lots of work. Now I know he might regress, but I will enjoy it for now!

Oh, and lately as Will has been leaving in the mornings, he will tell Nathaniel that he loves him, and then Nathaniel will yell right as Will is walking out the door "Love you Daddy!" It is adorable. I have a few more stories and pictures I need to post as soon as I get some free time. :)

Valentine's Day Party

Here are the pictures from Nathaniel's class party. As you can see, it was wonderful. His teachers do such a great job at celebrating the holidays with the kids!

When we got there, Nathaniel instantly scoped out the strawberry muffins. You can see his hand on the one he wants in this first picture.

You can see the look he gives me when I remind him we have to wait on everyone to eat.

The Dogs that Mock Me

Haven't posted any dog pictures in a while, so thought they should get some attention.

This is what happens when my dogs get around clean laundry. Keep in mind it has been raining a lot so I'm sure the towel that Otis is on was washed again due to muddy feet.

And notice that Annie makes herself at home in the whites. Yes, she gets in there on her own.

Valentine's Day

A couple of weeks ago, we went to a Valentine's making party at church. They provided the supplies and cleaned up the mess. It was a lot of fun!

We even got a cookie and juice after we made Valentine's. You can't beat that!

And last week we got 2 presents in one day - some Thomas clothes from Nana and a Berenstain Bears book from Mimi. It's great to get presents from both grandmothers on the same day!

And this weekend we made some chocolate chip muffins . . . you can tell they were enjoyed!

Beautiful January Day

Last month we had some great weather, and went out to Armand Bayou. Will and I did some hiking while Nathaniel did some sleeping.

Fun indoors

Will was sick last weekend, and then Nathaniel has been sick with pneumonia. So, we've spent lots of time indoors. Nathaniel's really doing much better, we caught it very early and he got started on meds right away. So we are thankful that it didn't get worse. In this first picture Nathaniel is taking a break to help "sick daddy."
